Monday, January 11, 2010 - Around 1400, the Lower Chichester box alarm was struck to Summit Ave Along with co. 61 & 39 (Lower Chi) were 40 (Boothwyn), 68(MHTFD), Truck 63(Green Ridge), NCC Engine 13(Claymont), Engine 55(Ogden), Rescue 45 (Parkside) for the Rapid Intervention Team, and Medic 100-7. The Lower Chi PD arrived followed by Chief 39(D.A.Durbano) with heavy smoke showing from the middle of the row. Chief 39 established the Summit Ave Command. Engine 39 arrived and went in service while the crew from Engine 61 went inside to check for extension and conducted a primary search. The first in crews made a quick stop on the fire and held it to the unit of origin. The crew from the Tower and Truck 63 went to the roof. Command placed the job under control under the 30 minute mark. Good Job to all units on scene.
